Newborn FAQ: How does scheduling for the session work when due dates aren't guaranteed?

If this is your first time scheduling a newborn session, it can seem a little hard to pin down a date when due dates are such moving targets. Once you book, I keep your due date on file and remain "on call" durning that time (vacation time for a newborn photographer is few and far between). When your baby has arrived, I ask that you let me know within two days of their arrival and we then get the session officially scheduled. I've had babies come a month early and up to two weeks later than expected to so I am prepared for anything. This is the main reason established newborn photographers have to limit our bookings per month as we have to allow for some wiggle room when anticipating babies.
